I first met Lori Hayes, Author in 2019 during my mustang makeover journey. After being exposed to the American Mustang, her desire to fuse her writing career with her passion for wild horses became unstoppable. It was not until after the makeover, when I released my YouTube video highlighting my emotional journey, that she decided she wanted to use my makeover story as inspiration for a novel.

In the book, Saving Nevada, Lori does a great job giving insight into the roller-coaster of events that can go along with training a wild horse on a short timeline. I of course could not put the book down once I picked it up, and some parts certainly were like re-living parts of my real life! It would be impossible for me to write my own story, the book would be thousands of pages long; so I am thankful that she was able to use her talents to present a story that reminds readers what horses can do for us, and also how setting goals and dealing with challenges in life can somehow manage to point you in the right direction- often being different from the direction you thought you were heading!
